We signed a contract in November 2016 for 4 pcs. emergency diesel gensets in 40 ft containers. Delivery 2017. 

The contract covers the delivery of:

- Genset 2275 kVA, 1820 kW Prime Power (complete assembled device of diesel engine, generator, radiator and generator switch)

- Starting batteries

- Cooling-/ventilation system

- Noise insulation

- Exhaust system with pipe

- Controlsystem

- Auxiliary system

- Fuel tank

- Complete fuel system for 4 tanksog 4 gensets

Delivery for control room on Land, "Martin Linge" platform .

In 2014 we signed a contract for deliverance of 1 pc. emergency generatorset with 1100kVA, and 1 pc. emergency generatorset with 440 kVA.

They were to use for the new control room on Land for the "Martin Linge" platform.

These were successfully commissioned in 2015/2016.

We also delivered an uninterruptible feedback from dual redundant supplies. In addition to running load tests against web.

"The Martin Linge field in the North Sea will be supplied with power from the Norwegian onshore grid. Total E&P Norge chose to transmit high voltage AC power over a record breaking 163 kilometres. The benefits are great with regards to regularity, environment and working environment offshore

World record in AC transmission.

At Kollsnes in western Norway a new onshore facility is ready to supply the Martin Linge field with power. Power from the onshore grid, which is mainly hydro power, will be transformed from 300 kV to 100 kV and transmitted to the platform.

"We make this possible trough the worlds longest subsea high voltage AC cable. The 163 kilometre long cable is a technological breakthrough. Such power transmission requires security in the cable design and an onshore sub-station that can provide a stable power supply to the platform, and at the same time ensure no negative impact towards the overlaying onshore grid," explains Kollsnes Package Manager Tore Andre Orvik.

Reduced CO2 emissions.

The power regularity on the platform is expected to be above 98 percent. Other advantages with the power from shore solution are reduced maintenance on rotating equipment, less noise and less vibration on the platform.

"The onshore power supply will improve the working environment for our offshore employees. On the personal level it is also very motivating and meaningful to be part of a development that will reduce local CO2 emissions to a great extent compared to the use of gas turbines," says Orvik.

Calculations demonstrate reduced local CO2 emissions by 200.000 tonnes per year. The figure represents yearly emissions from 180.000 cars

In line with expectations.

Martin Linge will be the first Total operated offshore oil and gas field fully electrified from shore.

"Norwegian authorities expect all operators to evaluate the possibility to develop new oil and gas fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf with power from shore. For us it turned out to be the best solution, and it is great to be part of a development which is in line with expectations and have so many extra benefits," Orvik concludes."

11th May 2016 – Almere, the Netherlands

Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. (MTEE) announces that its acquisition of the Norwegian Gas & Diesel Power AS (G&DP) has been finalized. The control of the company will be transferred to MTEE with effect from 11th of May 2016. G&DP her new name will be Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V., Norwegian Branch Office, Marine and Power Solutions. 

In November, MTEE announced that an agreement for acquisition of G&DP had been reached. The concept of integration between MTEE and G&DP is to accelerate the development of gas engines, utilizing their knowledge and experience with gas marinization and expand sales of standard gas engines in EMEA region.

Gas is becoming of increasing importance in the maritime industry especially in reaction to the availability as a marine fuel and minimizing environmental pollution. MTEE has a strong position in the market with specialized in-house and overseas engineering capacity and an extensive sales network in the EMEA region. This can be further strengthened by combining forces with G&DP. As pioneers in the usage of gas for maritime application since 1999 and 15 ships operating with gas generating sets under the supervision of G&DP till date, they are a strong player in the maritime industry with gas. The acquisition is based on MTEE's strategy to capitalize on the changing focus for fuel in the maritime industry and become the market leader for 4-stroke gas fueled engines in EMEA region and expanding toward worldwide.

Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. is strengthening its position in the gas market for industrial and maritime applications with the acquisition of Gas & Diesel Power AS. With this acquisition Mitsubishi aims to expand their business scale and establish a gas marinization and application center. Gas & Diesel Power will participate to further develop our products and our sales and service network.

The current market conditions challenge the maritime industry to rethink the traditional propulsion systems. With competitive LNG pricing and availability, this power source could significantly reduce environmental pollution. Particularly in terms of far lower emissions of NOx and harmful particulates. Delivery to Statnett 2015 and 2016

Delivery to Statnett 2015 and 2016

During the summer of 2014 G&DP won a national tender for delivery of 8 emergency power generators to Statnett, with an option for 7 more, which they utilized in the spring of 2015. The generators are located across Norway, from Troms in the North to Oslo in the south. The contract comprises complete delivery of all supporting systems, exhaust, fuel, ventilation, SAT, commissioning and training, in addition to the in total 15 generator sets between 165-650kVA. Of the 15 sets, 3 are complete self-sufficient container mounted sets, clad with outdoor wooden paneling and slanted roof to blend in with the surrounding building mass. Our departments are very happy to report a sound and flexible working relationship with the different divisions at Statnett during the process, and we are looking forward to the possibility of working together with Statnett when future opportunities arise

BW Offshore orders Emergency genset module

BW Offshore have contracted delivery of a new emergency generator from Gas & Diesel Power.

The module is to be installed offshore onboard the FPSO "Sendje Berge" off the coast of Nigeria. The delivery consists of one container based module measuring 10*4*5,7 meters with a total weight of 35 Tons. The container comprises a 900kVA diesel generator set, ventilation, exhaust system, diesel system, cooling system, emergency switch board and additional equipment. In preparation for delivery the module will undergo extensive testing prior to delivery onboard the vessel ready to commence full running operation.

The delivery is planned to take place in February 2014.
